Muddy, Muddy, Muddy - But great fun !
Due the sheer amount of rain we had prior to the event the organisers had to make a last minute course change.
This change in the course was communicated directly via email the day before the event so no one just turned up to find out the course had changed !
The event was fantasically organised and all event staff superb!
The marshalls out on the course where so so supportive, and, the donuts at the end were spectacular !
I'll certainly be doing this one again !!
Marc James
My 1st trail run & will definitely do again......very well organised
Mitesh Thanki
Muddy, hilly, joyous!
Just a well organised trail event. Staggered starts for the half and then 10k. Super muddy in places, but to be expected, bit of tarmac and gravel trail. Everything a trail run in March should be. Will definitely be looking at the half next year.
Hayley Wallington
Fantastic event, greatly organised, lovely people
Ivor Fraser
Muddy
Found the course, as a trail should be, tough, hilly. The fact that's its been raining for most of February, just added to the toughness. But would definitely do it again.
Heidi Pryor-Jones
Muddy fun!
Lot's of parking, clean toilets and cafe available.
Good communication prior to the event.
Course well marked.
Extremely muddy in places - to be expected - it's a trail event in March!
Measured 10.5k on my watch - but trail isn't always accurate and I'd rather it was over then under!

Well organised and marshalled. Great value and friendly and supportive team.
Andrea Vear
Great route for a first time trail runner. Challenging with the muddy mud but really enjoyable - credit to the organisers and fellow runners.
David Wheway
A tough course (mainly because the fields were so muddy)....but that makes completing the course all the more rewarding.

Great trail half
This years was very muddy, so trail shoes were a must, and some very deep puddles :-) . Great organisation and great venue. My first Pittsford Trail race, but likely not to be my last.

Spoilt by cupless policy
Trail littered with gel/ bar wrappers. Hope it gets litter picked
Hi Steve, sorry that you felt your race was spoilt by the cupless policy. Wherever possible, we try to minimise our impact on the environment, and by asking people to bring their own cup or bottle to a shorter distance trail race such as this one, it reduces the amount of waste after the event. All of our water stations had spare cups should anybody have forgotten theirs, along with bin bags out for any rubbish. We have a Tail Runner at the event who snips signs and clears any rubbish from the course. I've checked with him and he confirmed that there was no litter at all left on route, so I'm not sure on the location of the bar and gel wrappers you mention? If you could let me have more details I will be sure to investigate further.
