On the glorious trails on and around the Winwick Hall Estate.
Starting and finishing at Winwick Hall, the 5k and 10k races provide the perfect introduction to trail running as well as a challenge for those looking to build their experience of trail running.
There’ll be a mixture of terrain, including grassland, country paths and some hard-packed trails. Both routes involve some rewarding hills and speedy descents!
The 2k race, for children aged 4-12 years old, is a fun run.
The races are run in aid of the Bruce Green Foundation with a proportion of all entry fees going direct to the charity.
Race HQ, the start and finish, is located at Winwick Hall, Winwick, Northants. NN6 7PD.
Registration will be open from 08:00 for participants to collect their race numbers and timing chips.
The 5k and 10k races will start at 9:30am, and the 2k children’s race at 11:00am.
As with all Race Harborough events, there will be professional first aid on hand at the start and finish with the ability to access runners on the course. Volunteers will also be on-course to provide support and hydration at a water station on the 10k route (at halfway). Water will also be available at the finish.
Trail shoes are advisable if there has been rain in the lead up to race day, but if the ground is dry road shoes will suffice.
Our races are cupless, so you will be required to bring your own cup or water bottle.
All finishers will receive a specially commissioned race medal.
Friends and family are encouraged to come and support. There is plenty of parking, and the excellent Polo Pavilion Tea Room will be open, serving hot and cold drinks as well as a range of homemade cakes and snacks.
As with all Race Harborough events – you don’t pay for your race pics! Free digital downloads of your race are available to download soon after the event finishes and we’ll announce their availability on our Facebook page.
‘Providing a safe and secure foundation from which young people can flourish in education, at home and in the community by providing inclusive access to cultural and inspirational experiences.’
This event is run in aid of the Bruce Green Foundation, and a proportion of all entry fees go direct to the charity.
Founded in 2018, the foundation works with young people, under 21, in the county of Northamptonshire, individuals who face social inequalities as a result of poor access to education, healthcare and mental health support.
The foundation acts a catalyst for confidence, enabling young people to make changes for the betterment of their lives (academically, socially and emotionally). This is achieved through the provision of long-term interventions, the external delivery of collective entertainment, and by supporting partner organisations who share our mission.
